Q:Can this seat or the high back version be installed directly on a bench seat?? Weight limits?? Assume both have snaps for tie downs?Asked on 10/15/2013 by Newbie Bill from Miami, Fl
A:Hopefully this answers your questions--please see below:
Can this seat or the high back version be installed directly on a bench seat?? Yes, pending that you have access from underneath the bench to drill up into the seat base where the inserts are located. If you use an aluminum style slide that allows you to install one portion of the slide to the seat base and then install the other to the flat surface and then marry the two together. Using a standard square black powder coated swivel for this style of application will be difficult due to the clearance between the seat and the bench being so limited. Not impossible but difficult.
Weight limits?? Please use 180 lbs – 230 lbs as a reference.
Assume both have snaps for tie downs? No. The Low Back NaviStyle® seat has a built in locking tab on the rear of the shell that locks the seat in the down position when folded and then needs to be compressed to unlock the seat into the upright position.Answered on 10/16/2013 by Anonymous
Q:Will this seat replace the seats on a '87 BassTracker 17 Tournament TX? Driver and passenger seats have front hinge attachments to access space below seats and fishing seats have pedestal plates. thanksAsked on 8/19/2009 by Chuck from Montclair, NJ
A:Overton's does not have any way to find out about any parts that come factory on any boat. So we have no idea what kind of seats are on your Bass Tracker, but we do provide the dimensions for the seats that we sell. You can always pull out your seats and put a Wise Company seat in your boat if you have enough room to fit the dimensions of the seat. The only way to find out if our seats will fit on your boat is to take the dimensions given for each seat and physically measure the room on your boat to be sure.Answered on 9/14/2009 by JUSTIN from OVERTONS TECHNICIAN
