I installed this ladder on the back of my Carolina Skiff which came with a 2 step ladder. It was difficult to get out of the water and onto the swim platform with only two steps. Now it is a piece of cake.

Comments about Dockmate Telescoping Drop Ladder, 4-Step:

We use this ladder on our pontoon. Very happy with the size of ladder when stored on deck. Easy to use. Had knee replacement and needed ladder which would be long enough to climb with ease.

Comments about Dockmate Telescoping Drop Ladder, 4-Step:

We just installed the ladder and love it. The boat ladder that came with the boat had three rungs. Not everyone in our family / circle of friends could easily climb on board with the original equipment. With the four rung ladder everyone can independently and easily climb on board now. We can't vouch for how it will hold up over time but it seems like it should stand the test of time and water! It seems sturdier than the original ladder.

One word of caution , since it telescopes you need to make sure you control the ladder when extending it. Dropping it in water is easy but it drops fast out of the water when you are installing it.

                      A:

Ladders do not come with mounting hardware due to the various types and sizes of hardware that can be used depending on where the ladder is mounted. Some applications may require through bolting and some may require self tapping screws, both at various lengths.
