Q:I just purchased from you and installed a Teleflex No Feedback Single Cable Rack-And-Pinion Steering System, SS151. How am I suppose to set the trim skeg on my outboard motor 90hp Yamaha?
I am talking about the little rudder behind the prop.Asked on 4/21/2014 by joe from myrtle beach sc
It is recommended that you run your boat as the skeg is now and then make any adjustments based on how the engine performs while in operation.

Q:hello. do any of the kits include the shaft that goes into the motor?Asked on 8/8/2012 by tony
A:No they do not. That is specific to every engine and this system can be used on most all engines.Answered on 11/13/2012 by Justin M. from Overton's
Q:We have a 16 ft. boat and the steering with this system is stiff and hard to start the wheel turning, particularly with one hand.
Can it be adjustedAsked on 9/18/2009 by George from Gaylord, MI
A:There is no adjustment that you can make on the cable, but one possibility could be that the rod end of the cable that connects at the motor end could need lubrication. You could try the cable buddy lubrication system to help keep the rod lubricated and that may solve the problem. The part number is 26063 and the lube fluid is part number 26067. type those numbers into he search box and see if that would work for you.Answered on 9/28/2009 by JUSTIN from OVERTON'S TECHNICIAN
A:You probley neen a new sterring cable. Mine waqs hard so i had to replace. Check to see what kind of steering unit you have. You may be able to buy just the cable and not the whole unit.Answered on 6/12/2012 by Handy from Pulaski, Va
