Q:
i have a 93 chapparal with a volvo penta dual prop and a digital trim gauage. will this gauage work without any other sending unit or parts? my gauge reads 88 and the repair shop says it is the gauge that is not working.Asked on 7/14/2009 by john from lake forest, ca1 answer
CUSTOMER CARE
A:
You will have to have a working trim sending unit for this to work. If you had a trim system that was working at one time then you should have a trim sending unit. Gauges can not work without sending units, whether they are tachometers, speedometers, etc. but each sending unit for each gauge is different, but most are attached to the motor at some point.Answered on 1/22/2010 by Justin from Overton's Technician
