In October of 1860, B.T. Henry was granted a patent for the design of first true repeating rifle to be made - an invention so significant that the gun was named Henry and the cartridges bore his marking "H". One man could load 15 cartridges in 8-10 seconds, the equivalent of having 15 men manned with traditional firearms. Brass frame. Octagonal barrel, tapered on top w/incorporated magazine tube. Walnut stock. Brass buttplate. Lever lock at rear of receiver. External cartridge follower aids in loading the magazine.
