Product Description
taurus The popular Taurus Model 92 is modeled after the same sidearm issued to armed forces, but with improvements to enhance reliability, durability, and accuracy. Most notable on the Taurus Model 92 is the innovation of a three-position, frame mounted, ambidextrous safety which allows this gun to be carried in classic double-action cocked and locked mode, as well as functioning as a double-action decocking lever. Two blue steel magazines are provided with each gun and additional features include loaded chamber indicator for added safety, the Taurus security system for added peace of mind, and mounted controls for easy access. Stainless steel slide and frame with black synthetic grips.

    Being 6'3" and 265, this taurus fits my bigger hands perfect, just put 75 rounds of standard brass through ( after cleaning first of course) and everythng went perfect. no jams, both mags ran smooth, and dead accurate 30 to 45 feet, out of the box. plus the stainless look is just awesome. i own other pistols, and can say this taurus pt 92 ss is now my favorite. Even though its only a 9mm, it is very fun to shoot, and turns heads. and the dble safety is right where my thumb lines up with it, perfect. The staff at gander was great as always and very thorough. The manager seemed to really go out of his way to make everything smooth, Thanks again, would definitely recommend to anyone on the taller side looking for a full size 9 mm.

      This is an amazing all around gun! Its so reliable and just overall a blast to shoot. It has no jamming issues, its accurate, and very smooth shooting. The stainless version is amazing looking! I would recommend to everybody!

              This is the first gun I ever bought...talk about a first impression. It's so much fun to shoot, easy to use, very accurate and beautiful. Shot a couple thousand rounds and not one jam or misfire. Also, easy to disassemble and clean. My next handgun will probably be another Taurus. Can't go wrong.

              Saw this gun and loved it right away. Biggest problem is keeping ammo because it is so fun to shoot. You cannot go wrong buying this gun, it is truly a nice firearm. Had it 2 years now and still love it.

                  Yes. Unless otherwise stated, in America 9mm refers to a cartridge that goes by numerous names: 9mm Luger, 9mm Parabellum, and 9x19. These multiple names all refer to the same ammo, and differentiate it from all the other 9mm rounds that exist in the world. I can think of at least 3 other 9mm rounds off the top of my head, and there are likely more I don't even know of.

                  every person and situation is differt. i am a fan of taurus with the newer lines they have put out. i carry a pt 24/7 .40 FOR ME i chose this gun for the saftey features. i have three kids who often have friends over and although i am a safe gun owner i never know when a kid may sneak into rooms they are not allowed in. with the tss ( taurus saftey system) i can lock and completey disabel my hand gun when its not on me rendering it useless

                  No. The catch opening in the magazines are different sizes. Smaller in the Beretta...will not hold securely.

                  I CAREFULLY filed the magazine catch notches in some used Beretta M9 magazines (that also work in Beretta 92) to fit the Taurus PT92 and they seem to function (feed, lock the slide open and lock in place) in the PT92 now.

                  The sights on the pt99 our adjustable. The pt92 sights is not. In my opinion i like the non adjustable sights better unless shooting long range but within defensive ranges there good.
