      Overall good experience. The Taurus is very easy to disassemble and reassemble. Although it was very dirty out of the package. I would highly recommend cleaning before taking it to the range.

        I have now purchased 3 Firearms from Taurus and I will not purchase another one!!! I had a PT111 that had extractor issues after being sent back to Taurus 2 times, and I traded it. A revolver that has functioned flawlessly. And then there is the 1911!!! This gun had feeding issues with all three mags that came with with in 2 clips from each of them. I contacted Taurus and they promptly sent me 3 replacement mags and the exact same thing occured. I asked them (Taurus Miami Fl) if there was some type of design issue, and I was told the following. ( We are not aware of any but we have reveived several other people with this problem. The gun is under warranty just keep sending back the bad mags to us and we will keep replacing them.) What is the point of a firearm that does not fire or function proplerly???? While Taurus is biulding nice looking fire arms I personally will NEVER PURCHASE ONE OR ACCEPT IT AS A GIFT!!!! Given the poor quaility of the firearms I have gotten from them in the past! SPend a little more more and get a Kimber, WIlson Combat, or a Les Bar, and get away from Taurus

            I purchased this firearm on 10/21/11 and after 20 rounds it jammed every round and after the gunsmith at gander mountain told me it needs a new extractor and a new ejector and a new slide this firearm is being sent back to Taurus,I will not purchase another Taurus based on this.

              This was my first 1911 and it shoots awesome. I have a couple hundred rounds through it and i havn't a problem. I would recondment this weapon to anyone. It doesnt have much recoil, even my ma shot it. It came with four magazines, a cleaning kit, a magazine holster and another holster. Great buy.

              Purchased the Duo Tone and have not been happier. Looked at the Kimber and for the price the Taurus just can't be beat. Alot of custom features for less money. Approximately 500 rounds with not the first malfuction. Good accuracy; mild recoil; easy to strip and clean; great feel and not that heavy for a full size 45 ACP. Recommended

                This is one hot and ready to go gun.I found it to be very accurate right out of the box.After many rounds of different manufactures it will shoot them all with no hickups.I was looking at the Kimbel Custom 2 (very nice gun).After buying this and shooting it im glad i did not.Kick is very minimal for a 45. All around very very happy with it.Would definetly reccomend this one.
