Comments about Taurus® Model 140 Millennium Pro™ Compact Handgun:

Great gun for the money. About as much stopping power as your going to get in this size and price range. Kickbacks less than you would expect. Good accuracy for the size. Like any gun, you will need to practice with it to be consistent.

Comments about Taurus® Model 140 Millennium Pro™ Compact Handgun:

Dont compare this model to the older millenniums.
This current gen has had all the problems addressed
The magazine ejection problem long since sorted.
My pt140 has given me no problems...over 500 rounds of white box...no ftf to speak of.
Also Taurus gives a lifetime warranty even if your not the original owner.
        Good gun for the buck....period.

Comments about Taurus® Model 140 Millennium Pro™ Compact Handgun:

I have the old first model pt140. love the gun. Very accurate and dependable. I also bought a pt140 PRO model. It has a lighter, smoother trigger. It seems just slightly more bulky than the standard pt140 which I don't think they make anymore. The model magazines are not compatable. It is the same length and hight as a kahr pm45. But the kahr pm45 is much thinner at twice the price. I chose to carry my older pt140 over my glock 23 due to size. It's also about the same size as a glock 27. For a smaller gun and higher than 6 round carry gun, and lower cost, I like the pt140. My older 140 I have not had problems with the mag release.

Planned to use as primary concealed carry. Due to problems with all magazines releasing unpredictably, it has been replaced by a reliable alternate.

              ARE THE SIGHTS ADJUSTABLE
              Asked on 11/9/2010 by Anonymous

              • A:

They are fixed sights. The pro model has the dove-tail in the slide for the sights, so I would expect you could find night sights or rear adjustable. But I can't say for sure. I would suggest calling Taurus asking about it.

How does single/double differ from double/single?

              • A:

This weapon is a single action and only goes double if the round fails to fire. The double action is re-strike capability
