I use the products with friends and it does turn heads. The gun shoots great. The .410 does have a wide spray after 10 yards, however, the .410 slug does hit dead center at 50 yards. Downfall is after shooting a few rounds for it, the chambers get dirty and doesn't load .410's easily. It is a good pistol and have had no problems in the two years I have owned it.

First time it was sent back for mis-firing both types of ammo, it was 7 weeks to get it back with a note, "Found No Problem", took it out to the range and it did not mis-fire anymore, but, the chamber hung up and the trigger stayed in the full depressed position and would only release after pulling the hammer back on a loaded gun. It was sent back again and a note with it the second time said it had been repaired. At that point I did not want the gun and exchanged it for a Sig. Problem solved. The Judge makes a great paper weight, but would never rely on it for home defense, period!!

Comments about Taurus® Model 4510 Judge® Handgun:
I ve read alot about this gun and talked to a few who have own/owned one and nothing but good comments. I ordered two one to use and the other to keep it in its new/natural state. Ive shot this several times since I ve got it and the comments I ve heard about it is true. A unique but awesome firearm.

Comments about Taurus® Model 4510 Judge® Handgun:
First time I took this out I could not get 45 LC cartridges or .410 shotshells in two of the cylinders. Closer examination reveals the extractor is intruding on the cylinder bores prohibiting the cartridges from entering. Gun is currently with Gander gunsmiths, outcome unknows. I'd get them to check this before I ever left the store. Once you are out the door, no returns.

Comments about Taurus® Model 4510 Judge® Handgun:
I have the actual bobbed hammer version and really enjoy it. The trigger pull is very long and firm, but that can be adjusted. I could not ask for more from the pistol. Way to go Taurus

Comments about Taurus® Model 4510 Judge® Handgun:
One of the best self defense pistols period. It's a handheld shotgun! There is already specialty ammo for the Judge series of pistols and the new Judicial Branch rifle that just came out. Just like any other Taurus, they all have a lifetime warranty.
Due to the sound level of a shotshell coming out of the very short barrel of my Defender, I doubt that I would actually have to shoot an attacker but would be well armed if I did. I give it 2 thumbs up!

Q:
The photo shows no hammer-so what is the difference between a bobbed hammer and hammerless? Since it is double action/single action, the hammer must be somewhat exposed to use the single action option, right? Also, tho not a question about the weapon, does anyone know if any states with concealed/carry allow you to use shot shells in a handgun?Asked on 8/13/2010 by Johnboy from central Illinois1 answer
A:
The hammer is there, it is just concealed. That is what a bobbed hammer is.Answered on 11/13/2010 by Stephen from NC
Q:
Is the kick excessive? Old man, infrequent shooter.Asked on 6/8/2010 by rv113 from Earth, TX3 answers
A:
The Judge was my first pistol, I've only used .410's so far(the 45's were hard to find were i live), and the kick is not bad at all. My first shot I had the Judge in a death grip. I've heard that the .45's can kick fairly hard but that can be said for any .45. The ribbed rubber grip is designed to help with the recoil though. Just make sure to wear ear protection. I left my ear plugs at home the first time and put 3 boxes of shells through it, My ears were still ringing next day and would randomly ring for a minute the next few days. It is much louder then even a 12 guage or the other rifles we were shootingAnswered on 6/14/2010 by WKUEE from Bowling Green,KYA:
Barely kicks at all. My 13 year old son was shooting it last year. He loves it also.Answered on 6/15/2010 by bgravedoni from Ishpeming Mi.A:

Q:
CAN U LOAD 45 ROUNDS AND .410 SHELLS AT THE SAME TIME, FOR INSTANCE 3 OF EACH?Asked on 3/16/2010 by BONER THE BONER from BOWLING GREEN, KY5 answers
A:
It only take 5 rounds, mix and match to get 5.Answered on 3/22/2010 by BIG DAVE from KNOXVILLE, TNA:
Since it is a five shot, I don't think loading three or each would be an option.Answered on 3/24/2010 by Stillively from Knoxville,TNA:
I don't know where you would put the sixth round as it only has a five shot cylinder, but yes, you can mix your loads up . 2 shot shells and 3 45's or any other combo.Answered on 3/23/2010 by jerry from perkasie, paA:
ammo can be mixed, however it would be difficult to load 3 of each since the weapon is of 5 shot capacity.Answered on 3/28/2010 by captianjg from northville, miA:
it only holds 5 rounds and you can mix your load.Answered on 5/17/2010 by Al from Ocala , Fl
