I just switched from an API model, and this Viper is head and shoulders above it. Much quieter (no pins to rattle around) and easy to mount and climb with. The teeth on this stand grab the tree very well and make climbing even the toughest hardwoods easy. The cables are easy to adjust, even while climbing. Safe, sturdy, and easy to use.

My only dislike is the paint that is already chipping. I would still buy this stand again, since the paint issue is primarily cosmetic. Great stand!

I purchased a climber from another retailer last year based on price (Guide Gear). I hunted with the climber, but hated how cumbersome it was and the heavy weight at 33lbs (feels more like 50+). I had to make straps for the climber and even then it was hard to carry.

My buddy used a Summit climber and bragged about how easy it was to climb and how comfortable he was sitting. I on the other hand wasnt so comfortable. I finally decided to spend a little extra money and buy the Summit. The stand is a little heavy, but it's so much easier to carry. This will be the first year I have climbed with the Summit but I am ready for bow season!

    Purchased this prouct for my son. Sturdy platform for beginners, and easy to set up and use out of the box. After my son's near fall from a competitors stand, we purchased the Viper Classic stand as it was simliar to my Viper SD. My son is very happy with this stand, and he is very comforable using this stand. A bit heavier than the SD, but a great product for the price.

              I PAID FOR FAST DELIVERY AND GOT WHAT I PAID FOR. THE TREE STAND IS VERY USABLE AND IS EASY TO CLIMB WITH. I HAD A SIMILAR STAND. THE OTHER STAND WAS EASIER TO CARRY AND WENT TOGETHER EASIER AS FAR AS CARRYING CAPABILITIES. THE OTHER SAFETY HARNESS WAS MORE USEABLE. I CANNOT AND WONT USE THIS ONE.
