Comments about StrikeMaster Strike-Lite II Power Auger, 8":
I've owned this Strike-Lite the first year strikemaster came out with it. It has ran perfectly for years with no problems at all. Follow the starting, shut down and storage procedures to the T and you will never have a problem. Most times it starts first pull seldom takes two pulls in all temps once you learn cold and warm starts. I fish every year and dozens of two strokes of all brands can not start as quick as I can with the strike-lite. I have two holes drilled before most of my friends even start thier two stroke augers. The only thing that has ever broken is the composite handle when I roled my quad while playing around. Replacing the handle was easy. I have dropped this auger before and the handle never broke until I roled a quad on it. I wish they had a 10" version so I replaced 8" with a strikemast 10 1/4" chipper unit three years ago and it has worked excellently.

Comments about StrikeMaster Strike-Lite II Power Auger, 8":
I have used my Strike Lite 2 since January and have been out 10 times. Drilling about 100 holes each time on a full tank and still have gas left. I have friends who own Jiffy augers and one thing I have noticed about all of the Jiffy augers is that they stall a lot!!! Strike Lite 2 basicaly laughs at ice. Takes me about 9 seconds to cut 16inches of ice. Save your money and buy this auger. My first auger was a Mag2000 and compared to my new strike lite 2, I would never turn back or use any other brand. It is really worth your money and time. I brought mines when Gander had a special spend over $500 get $100 off. Paid [$] total with taxes for this beast! Beast of all is it's super light weight and no mixing gas/oil!
