Every boat owner should own at least 2 of these. They are great for tying to other boats, docks, or what ever you need to. They are incredibly easy to use and offer some adjustment with the different slots. I just ordered 8 more for all of the people that I boat with that saw mine over the weekend!

I was a little misled with this product

I never saw in the description of the product that it was for temporary use only. Basically you cannot use it to tie up your boat at the dock.

Comments about Greenfield Stretch 'N Slide Dock Line:

This product is great! Wish I had them for the past 3 seasons. I have used at he dock as well as hooking up w/ another pontoon on a lake and river. Allows to boat to rock "naturally". Qick and easy hook up @ docks as well. Won't ever be without them.

Comments about Greenfield Stretch 'N Slide Dock Line:

I go fishing by myself most times so have to secure my boat to the dock after launching and again when taking the boat out of the water. I've used these stretch dock line about 80 to 90 times over the past 18 months. The outside coating is just now starting to come apart. Why the 5 stars? Because there is no better and faster product to temporarily secure your boat to a dock then this one. It is a little hard to put on the giant tie off cleats the State put on the dock but at 70 yrs old, I can still do it. I should add that the deteriation might be caused in part by my boat being kept outside and exposed to heat most of the year and moisture during the winter/spring.
I only purchased 2 the first time but going to order 4 this time as I want them on both sides of my boat. My boat is a 16'aluminum with console and 60hp motor. It therefore is relatively light in weight. Not sure if I would use them for a large heavy fiberglass boat.

You can, but it is really tight and not recommended. You are able to loop around the pole or tie a not for temporary mooring uses.
