I bought this light to keep in my pocket along with my Leatherman Squirt PS4 and Micra, 12' of daisy chained paracord, and a small cross (reminds me that Christ is always with me). It is functional, bright, very ergonomic, AND fits nicely in my cargo pockets. The other nice thing is that the light uses 1-AAA battery. Wherever I aam at, I can always source one. I tested this light in my dark garage, and it lights the area up enough to see where I was going.

I would have given it a solid 5 stars, but the switch requires a fair bit of pressure to make the light turn on and stay on. I think they did this purposely so it would not turn itself on in your pocket.

All in all, I really like it and am happy to have it!

    Very small; not super bright

Purchased as backup flashlight for wilderness law enforcement. Could use for lower light applications such as hunting/fishing when compact design and low output are good, but cheaper options would do fine, too.

Comments about Streamlight MicroStream Battery-Powered LED Pen Light:

I purchased one of these at a local gun show.
Carried it everyday until I pulled too much stuff our of my pocket in a hurry and seemed to have dropped it.
Heading to my local Gander Mountain to pick up another this afternoon.
A great EDC pocket sized light.
          No issues.

Maybe my lost one will find it's way back home.
In that case, my wife will have a nice light too.

If I go anywhere, I have two things on me at all times. A Leatherman and this light. With this combo I am ready for most anything.
For its size, it is very bright.
I like the fact that it takes just one AAA battery that is cheap and you can find them anywhere.
