This was exactly what i was looking for, it is firm, slick, and tough. If you are looking for something soft I would go with something else, maybe rubber.

Comments about Stoltz Poly Bow Stop, 3":
It is of quality material and workmanship. I purchased it to replace a rubber stop and found the dimensions weren't exactly the same; as best described the distance from the bolt hole center to the notch differ between the types. This was easily corrected by moving the trailer bow stop mast rearward to take up the distance.
Pros
- Attractive Design
- Easy To Install
- No Rattle
- Strong Construction
Cons
Best Uses
- Used for 18' alum StarCra
Comments about Stoltz Poly Bow Stop, 3":
I used Stolzt polyurethane keel rollers and bow stops for a rebuild of a 1982 Calkins trailer. A great product with benefits beyond the use of traditional black rubber rollers which constantly mar the hull of my boat. The problem now is the boat rolls so easy off the trailer I have to use a line to hold it back!
