A:A pipe wrench works just fine, the auger pretty much goes down with little pressure once it's started, it will even work it's way around rocks with a little diligence. I've been using these babies for over 10 years and haven't lost a dock since. I attach the pipes to a gimble on the dock and angle them into the lake bottom in the general direction of the wind.Answered on 10/4/2011 by Bob from Mille Lacs Lake, Minnesota
