Comments about St. Croix Triumph Spinning Rod, 7, Medium:

This product does cast and perform extremely well. I typically use this rod for inshore snook fishing, but have fished in freshwater for bass, and offshore occasionally with this rod. I even landed a 15lb dolphin with this rod. The ability to make pinpoint cast with the rod is what orginially sold me. I borrowed a friends one day and was so impressed I went out and bought two for myself. Unfortunately his broke in half two weeks later on a big snook. Two months after purchasing mine the bottom ceramic insert fell out on one of them. I thought, no big deal, patched it myself and was back fishing again. Then the same rod a few weeks later the broke the tip off when I was trying to pull a lure loose from an overhanging tree. This bothered me, but I put new tip on, and I now have a 6'6" rod instead of a 7". Then, not two weeks later, I hooked a very nice snook, and during the fight with my other as of yet undamaged rod, it too broke right in half. I lost my fish and my faith in St. Croix rods. I will never buy a St. Croix rod again, and I hope everyone looking into buying one these rods finds this review. Please save your money and buy something else.
