Designed for extreme surf fishing performance, the updated St. Croix Legend Surf Casting Rod is packed with features to help you rule the surf. The high-modulus/high-strain SC IV graphite blank is loaded up with a host of proprietary technologies like Integrated Poly Curve (IPC) tooling technology, Advanced Reinforcing Technology (ART), and Fortified Resin System (FRS) for unparalleled strength and durability that's still shockingly lightweight and sensitive.
IPC tooling technology provides smooth, continuous-curve tapers that deliver a more efficient transfer of energy for longer casts with less effort. ART technology strengthens the blank in key areas to produce the off-set, slim-profile ferrules on all two-piece models, making the rod stronger without adding extra bulk or weight. FRS prevents micro-buckling by keeping carbon fibers in proper alignment throughout the curing cycle, resulting in a blank that's 33% stronger than those built with standard resins.
New Fuji Torzite solid-titanium frame surf guides are stronger, lighter, and less abrasive, providing unrivalled, 100% corrosion-proof performance. Fuji Torzite surf top with flanged ring greatly reduces line friction. Fuji DPS reel seat with exclusive E-finish hoods. Custom neoprene handle provides comfort and durability, and the positive grip improves when wet. Off-set, slim-profile ferrules on two-piece models provide one-piece performance. Two coats of Flex Coat slow-cure finish. 15-year transferable warranty backed by St. Croix Superstar Service.
