Comments about St. Croix Eyecon Trolling Rod, ECT70MM:

I have not done a tremendous amount of trolling. So I have little to say on that subject. What sold me on these rods though was the technology. St Croix is a pioneer in pole technology, and for that reason I chose this pole over others. I also have heavier poles for lead line, but for braided lines, I use these. The St Croix manufacturing process is alleged to result in poles which are oblivious to bending. That is, other polls allegedly can only flex in a particular way x number of times before breaking. Honestly that number may well be so high that you'll have managed to lose or break the pole long before you hit that breaking point, who knows? Yet allegedly St Croix has no such breaking point. I respect that they go to that level of detail, even if it may be irrelevant for all intents and purposes. Trolling polls do take a LOT of repetitive bending though, so if it IS relevant to ANY pole, I suspect a trolling pole would be the one. Your mileage may vary!
