      Only negative is when magazine is at full capacity its very difficult to eject the magazine...need to check with Springfield about this .

        Great fit and finish. I have only fired 100 rounds through XDM 4.25, but it seems balanced and accurate.. Just add good non battery night sights and you have great side arm.

            I own xds, xdms and glocks. The xdm was making the best better. The feel of the weapon is perfect. I gave my wife an xdm 40 and she shot perfect everytime, she also has a glock 23. This pistol improved her shooting skills, I then bought myself a xdm 45 and, its even better than the xd 45.

              After alot of research and firearm rental testing I chose the full size 4.5" Springfield XDm .45 ACP as my first handgun. I spent over three weeks looking localy for the XDm with everyone trying to push what they had in inventory. On a lark one night I did a GOOGLE search on the Springfield part number XDM94545BHC and was pleasently suprised that Gander Mountain Online pooped up and had them in stock. Unfamiliar with the location of a Gander Mountian store I used theit store locator and found the closest one in Sherma, Texas. I had my XDm sent to the Sherman store and it arrived in 2.5 business days. The store staff was knowledgeable and helped me select all the maintenance / cleaning equipment needed for the XDm. They were impressed with my purchase and after several hundred rounds I know why. I am glad I got the additional one year waranty from Gander Mountain which includes a free total teardown, cleaning, and reassembly by their gunsmith. I'm sure my XDm will get plenty dirty with all the rounds I plan to run through the barrel within the first year.
