      This was MY first pistol, and I couldn't be happier. I've shot a couple different pistols before, and this one is far more fun to shoot than the smaller 380 or 9mm. It has less kick than I expected.

          14 rounds of Knock Down Power says it all. The xd's are very simple to break down and clean. They are comfortable to shoot and accurate. I have nearly 1200 rounds through mine and no problems. Recoil spring is super tight at first as well as mag springs. I load mags to the max and put the gun in the slide lock position for a few days and that helped. A few hundred rounds will do the trick as well

                There is no manual safety on this firearm, instead it uses a trigger safety like the glock pistol , and a grip safety like the model 1911 pistol . there is a version available with a manual safety if you desire one .
