Product Description
springfield A modern pistol in every sense, the XD is packed with bells and whistles, but still affordable for the average shooter. The XD's legendary Point and Shoot Ergonomics combines natural pointability with a compact, contoured polymer grip, creating an instrument that feels more like a natural extension of your body than an object in your hand. The loaded chamber indicator allows the shooter to verify visually or by touch that there is a round in the chamber. The Ultra Safety Assurance Trigger System guards against accidental discharge from dropping or bumping by locking the XD's trigger in place until direct, rearward pressure is applied. The Service model combines the standard XD grip frame with a shorter 4" barrel for comfortable carrying.

    Tried both the XD and the Glock and preferred the XD. XD felt better near the end of the magazine (weight/balance) and had additional safety features (grip safety). Have put several thousand rounds through the gun and never had a single issue. I am an XD fan for life and have purchased 2 other XD's since buying this one.

      I took this gun to the range a week after I got it and put 10 rounds into a 6" diameter group at 8 yards right out of the box. Very accurate. Love that it comes with an extra mag and loader. The only drawback is buying it from Gander Mtn. it has to be NY and ME compliant. So you only get a 10 round mag. They don't tell you that in the advertising. Stock from the factory is 12.

        i use it any chance i can!

        discharged a full mag, wile submerged in sand. then used the same mag fully loaded and fired it again (no sand) and still fired like it was right out of the box!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

          First of all I just purchased this very fine firearm in as a Christmas present for myself at a cost far below your cost that as some others have said I could have nearly purchased two of the firearms for the price of your one. New in the box with a 9 & 12 rd clip, a two clip carry case, a speed loader and factory holster. All in a very nice carry case. So again you need to review your price. I purchased the SubCompact 40 to use as my CCW. I recently purchased from you an additional 12 rd clip.
          I do love the weight of the new construction. I never thought I would own anything but a S & W or Colt but this Springfield has me excited and with a lifetime warranty I think I may include Springfield into my list. Afterall My M1 in the Marines was a Springfield.
