Springfield's Model 1922 is a .22 caliber bolt-action rifle designed to mimic the popular military M1903. With nearly identical specs and design to the 1903, the 1922 became a popular training rifle until US involvement in World War II ended production. The M1 edition of the 1922 was introduced in 1925 and features a new bolt head, an improved firing mechanism, modifications to the chambering, and a new rear sight. . The stock was also modified to incorporate a flat based pistol grip. The 1927 NRA variant further improved the action and stock and was produced for civilian use. This rifle features is missing its magazine and adjustable target stock and features a 3-digit serial number, a 2-position safety, a fixed front sight, and rear scope blocks. Its stock, metal, and bore are all in good condition.
