The clip-fed, 5-shot, bolt-action Springfield Model 1903 was the primary battle rifle of the U.S. military from its introduction up until 1936 and saw action as recently as Vietnam. The Model 1903 was based on a Mauser design, but differs from other rifles of the time by using a two-piece firing pin. This United States military rifle was reworked by Springfield Armory sometime between 1906 and 1942 and features an adjustable vollery rear sight and a 2-position safety. Its wood, metal, and bore are all in good condition.
