The clip-fed, 5-shot, bolt-action Springfield Model 1903 was the primary battle rifle of the U.S. military from its introduction up until 1936 and saw action as recently as Vietnam. The Model 1903 was based on a Mauser design, but differs from other rifles of the time by using a two-piece firing pin. This rifle features a post front sight with a windage and elevation adjustable rear sight, a bolt-mounted safety, and a nickel steel receiver. Its wood, metal, and bore are all in good condition.
