Works great on my red bone/ lab mix. The first few days he has been quiet and he was only stimulated 2 or 3 times. With a stern vocal direction your dog should understand barking is unwanted. East to use and work with.

On a 50lb Red Bone this did not even phase her, she just kept on barking no matter how we adjusted the collar.

The collar is easy to use. I put the collar on the dog the night I got it in the mail and it corrected the barking problem the first time the dog barked.

I have two German Shorthaired pointers, one likes to whine -like most GSP's and the other likes to bark. I bought the collar hoping to curb both behavior problems. The collar beeps when it stimulates, so I know when it is activated, so far it has not beeped when my female barks, and does not work effectively on the whining. When my male barks however it does activate, -he has a very powerful bark. It also activates when she shakes and scratches,but not during her bark. I would recomend investing rather in an elctronic remote collar such as those made by Tri-tronics, that way you KNOW it will work when it should/you want it to.

I inherited a 18 month old lab that was never trained by my brother. Kota learned most rules quickly but continued to bark when outside, in the backyard. I have never heard him bark since putting the bark collar on him. I have no idea if he every was shocked. But the bottom line is that the barking has stopped.

I have a 5 month old German Short hair Pointer and when he goes into his crate for the night, he continues to bark for hours! The unit is working because there is a light and an audible beep, but the results are not good enough at this point. I hope that the stubborn pup starts to turn the other cheek in the next couple of weeks.
