Excellent weight to warmth ratio. Probably the lightest winter boots I've ever owned. Enjoyed the fact that they were extremely easy to take on and off and not having to tear your fingers up cinching laces down tight. Could've used an extra strap but great overall boot.
Unfortunately I had to return them because of a defect. The glue let loose on the seams inside the boot and then the double stitching around the reflective tape came un-stitched. I'll blame it on being defective but it's hard for me to purchase them again.

i use this boot for my job 8 hrs a day i shovel snow and chop ice for a living.
i had the boot 2 monthes and at the sidewall towards the top of the foot both boots cracked and split very cheap rubber. Felt liners suck i had boughten thses boots only 2 monthes ago now they are trash.
Buy a pair of Rocky boots your money would be better spent.
I would not ever buy these boots again nor would i recommend them. Thanks to these boots i now have wet and cold feet everyday. i don't see any good in this boot was disappointd from the time i opened the box.

The boots appear to be larger than a size 8 due to the thick insulation, but my son says they are very comfortable.

Comments about Sorel Men's 12" Alpha Pac Winter Boots:
Great product.
With the liners, I usually have to wear a light sock, like a liner, because they are so amazingly warm. above zero I will abandon the felt liners and then put a pair of wool socks on.
I also dont bother with gaiters with the 14" boot.
I cant speak to water resistance, but I am headed for the BWCA and will let you know.
