Q:Can I replace a 3 blade 14.5x19 with a 4 blade 14.3x19? Would this provide more power to plane and for skiers, or would this change the optimum rpm to top speed? Right now a 3 blade at 4800rpm gives me 35mph top speed.Asked on 7/5/2009 by Cos from 6800ft Colorado
A:Moving to a 4 blade will give you more pulling power and a faster hole shot. More than likely you will loose top end speed. I would recommend dropping down a pitch size to factor in the additional blade.Answered on 8/7/2009 by Casey Marine Buyer from Overtons
Q:will this prop fit a '07 220 hp mercruiser alpha 1?Asked on 6/17/2009 by Rod from Woodbridge, VA
A:Please call our Tech Department, 1-800-334-6541. We will need to ask a few more questions to make sure you are getting the correct prop.Answered on 6/22/2009 by Casey Marine Buyer from Overtons
Q:I am wondering whether this prop is a good option for my boat. I have 20 foot Sea Ray with 5.0 liter mercruiser. Outdrive is Alph 1. I have been told that this will help keep the bow down at lower speeds, i.e. when I am towing young children. I am also curious about hole shot and top end. Is this the right prop and pitch?Asked on 6/1/2009 by Chris from Minn.
A:For us to better assist you and make sure that we get you the correct propeller for you and your application we must first answer a few more questions. Please contact us here at Overton's at 1-888-OVERTON and any of our Technical Product Specialist will be glad to assist you.Answered on 6/2/2009 by Brooks, Marine Buyer from Overtons
