I was in the market for a .40 for the stopping power. I carry this concealed, its a little large for that but with a tuckable holster in the small of the back it works. The only problem I've had with my sigma is one failure to eject after about 1500 round through it. All in all I think thats pretty solid. I also noticed that it shoots a bit low at 10-15 yards and there is no elevation adjustment on the sights, only windage, although the included laser sight makes it a tack driver. For the price I don't know if there's a better buy for a .40.

My first handgun purchase. I was a little worried about the reports of frequent jams. This seems to be true with non-brass ammo, as I had 6 jams in 100rds. Brass was flawless with 300 through with no jams. Heavy trigger pull is easy to get over after some time shooting. Overall good value.

I bought this gun for personal protection without the laser sight 2 years ago. Has never jammed, easy to breakdown for cleaning. Trigger pull is a little heavy but easy to get used to. Very accurate, after 20 to 30 rounds was able to hit pop cans at 100 to 150 feet every shot.Came with case, 2 clips and when I registered with Smith and Wesson they sent me 2 free clips. 2 years and no problems and no jams. Great gun and great buy.

This Pistol does not have a mechanical safety. It has a off-set trigger that requires you to pull the trigger inline before the trigger will engage and go all the way back. It also has a round in chamber indicator.

No it doesn't. I always leave the chamber empty until I am ready to use it. In a crisis, you can rack in a round in no time.

            • A:

The difference between a 40cal and 45cal is the size of the projectile (bullet). The 45cal is a larger bullet then the 40calibur. The larger the bullet, the more recoil or kick the gun has when fired.
