Originally known as the Registered Magnum, the Model 27 was the original .357 magnum revolver. Built on Smith & Wesson's large N-Frame, many of Model 27s were carried in the holsters of law enforcement and hunters because of their reputation for durability, reliability, and accuracy. The Model 627 continues this reputation with the added benefits of corrosion resistant stainless steel plus two more rounds in the cylinder. Of course, the Model 627 retains the smooth double action and crisp single action trigger pull of the original 27. The 627 V-Comp model is a Performance Center gun with a chrome hammer, a chrome trigger and trigger stop, a removable barrel compensator, and a tuned action. The V-Comp's sharp two-tone finish stands out from the crowd. The front blade sight is an adjustable orange dovetail and the rear sight is an adjustable v-notch. This double-action revolver comes with the original factory hard case. Its grips, metal and bore are all in very good condition.
