The Smith & Wesson Model 60, the world’s first stainless steel revolver, was a success from its introduction in 1965. Like nearly all other J-Frame Smith & Wesson revolvers, it has a 5-round capacity in a swing-out chamber, and features an exposed hammer. With minimal moving parts, it’s far more reliable than any semi-automatic pistol, and cleaning requires little more than 5 seconds. Despite the reduction in effective range due to the short barrel and consequently reduced sight radius, the 2” barrel version is one of the preferred backup and concealed carry weapons for law enforcement officers and civilians alike. This double-action revolver features a stainless steel finish, laminated wooden grips with finger grooves, and a ramped front sight and comes with the original factory box. Its grips and bore are in excellent condition and its metal is in very good condition.
