Comments about Smith & Wesson Smith & Wesson M&P Compact Handgun:
I have large paws and it is difficult to find a small carry gun with punch. This one in 40 fits the bill. It is 10+1. The night sights and rail are handy. Works will with the Tacti Pac holster with clip pouch keep it completely out of sight which is handy when you live here in the People's Republic of Madison.

Comments about Smith & Wesson Smith & Wesson M&P Compact Handgun:
This is my first handgun and I am completely satisfied with this purchase. I bought the S&W M&P 9MM Compact version for the following reasons: comfort / fit of gun in my hand, magazine capacity (12 standard and can easily use the 17 round full M&P magazine), smooth trigger, DAO with No Safety to deal with, and compact size for Concealed Carry. I chose the 9MM version since this is my first handgun that will be my range gun to learn how to shoot with so the price of ammunition was a factor since that will be the greatest overall expense for owning and becoming proficient with a handgun. One final reason, while the Glocks are good guns, I like the fact that Smith & Wesson is still made in the USA.

Comments about Smith & Wesson Smith & Wesson M&P Compact Handgun:
This has been a great handgun. I've shot 700 rounds so far and it's performed flawlessly. I've used many different brands of ammo and it fires every time. It has a great form factor and the changeable backstraps help you get a great fit. Highly recommended.
