Originally known as the Registered Magnum, the Model 27 was the original .357 magnum revolver. Built on Smith & Wesson's large N-Frame, many of Model 27s were carried in the holsters of law enforcement and hunters because of their reputation for durability, reliability, and accuracy. The Model 627 continues this reputation with the added benefits of corrosion resistant stainless steel plus two more rounds in the cylinder. Of course, the Model 627 retains the smooth double action and crisp single action trigger pull of the original 27. The Model of 1989 variant is part of a limited production run with and has an unfluted cylinder, Goncalo Alves Combat Grips, and a 5-1/2" barrel. This double-action-only revolver features a custom trigger, a custom hammer, custom engraving, and a blade front sight with an adjustable rear. Its grips, metal and bore are all in very good condition.
