Comments about Smith's Smith Abrasives Diamond Field Precision Knife Sharpening System:
I used the kit mostly for kitchen knives. The instructions are fair, and setup for each blade is tedious, with the small stones and the awkward sharpening angle guide. When you set up properly, you can get very sharp edges.
But durability is a problem. After a couple months, 3-4 uses, my stone fell off of its yellow handle, and I hope I can return the kit and buy a more convenient system, such as an Electric Knife Sharpener. The kit is a bit pricey for what performance we derive, and I'd do better to spend a little more on the electric sharpener.

Comments about Smith's Smith Abrasives Diamond Field Precision Knife Sharpening System:
Puts a great sharp edge on a blade. Unfortunately I do not believe the structure will last. Would not recommend.

Comments about Smith's Smith Abrasives Diamond Field Precision Knife Sharpening System:
I bought this set a couple of years ago, since then I have sharpened all my relatives knives as well as my own. I used to have a ceramic rod sharpening set but this works much better and quicker.
The more you use it the better you get at the process, but you can open the package and put a professional edge on your dullest kitchen knife. Quick touch-ups are a snap, also, to keep your knives in peak condition.
I have been using this set with Chicago Cutlery, Wustof Trident, Rapella fillet knives and some grocery store knives. It has done an excellent job on all of them.
If you have ever tried to sharpen your knives on a plain stone, or wished you could do a professional job on your knives, this set is for you.
I haven't really used the serrated blade stone.
