        Out of the package I checked the laser run-out to the shaft. I found it to run out about 2" at 3 feet. I then adjusted the laser with the Allen wrench provided and got the run-out under 1/8". I found when using, lightly oil the o-rings on the shaft and it will slide into the barrel without cutting them. Also, I sighted the weapon using averages. That is, remove the laser, reinstall a few times as well as cycling the weapon. ( I was using on a 9mm semi-auto handgun).

            Several other comments have covered the o ring problem. Its not a stable or accurate platform for getting sights even close to being on paper.

            Dont spend the money on this product. Drove 25 miles to the Gander store only to find out they had very few options to select from. Bought it for my new .17 HMR. Soon as i turn it on then went to turn it off..... ON/OFF switch broke. Im not driving back to the Morrisville, NC store.

              I don't want to sound negitive, but the fact is this boresight is not accurate. When pushing the lazer into the bore, the washers slide all over the tube.

                Instruction manual displays 2 arbors, only one included with kit. I could not get the included arbor to fit .223 barrel. Instructions say to use the arbor that is not included. I emailed factory with return receipt on multiple times, and got no response from factory. The laser in the unit that I have was not centered. It would paint a large circle on the wall. It has adjustment screws to center it but I got tired of trying to center it. Until they get the unit [...] with the right parts, and tech support that responds to questions, and the laser centered in the housing with the supplied arbors do not waste your money. As another reviewer stated it is good for playing with the cat.

                Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend

                    The enclosed instructions state that it will, and it has the correct sized 'o' rings to fit a .308. I found that the laser was not centered in the housing which makes it pretty useless to sight on until the laser gets centered.

                    From other pictures I get the idea that it has 4 sizes of springloaded centering tips that press gently against the inside of the barrel. Thus making it compatible with any gun with at least 4" of barrel length .17-.50 caliber.
