I figured I would give my impressions of the P250 Subcompact 9mm. I have had the P250 for about 5 months now and have put about 500 rounds through it.
The first comment I will give is this gun takes practice. Order a pack of snap caps with it as the trigger pull is very different than most other models. The longer trigger pull is designed so as to keep it safe and not requiring a trigger. The largest problem people have with it is they expect it to fire the exact same as every other gun they have owned. This ultimately results in the person feeling the weapon is inaccurate. This is more in regards to the shooter not practicing the trigger and often drifting as the trigger is pulled due to not having a steady pull. Think of this gun more like a double action revolver and your aim will improve dramatically.
Secondly, I love this gun. The sights are great and the ability to change calibers is especially great in this time where ammunition is not always prevalent in certain calibers (Cough Cough 9 mm). The gun is easy to shoot with practice and is easy to take apart and clean and put back together. The modular aspect allows the user to buy other options that will make the gun have a whole difference purpose.
Another thing that is typically left out when it comes to reviewing Sigs is the similarity between all of the handguns they make. I have Sig Sauer Mosquito 22LR that I use for a plinker. The size of this gun is extremely close to the P250 even though it is a 1911 edition. It definitely makes it great being able to shoot 22LR as warmup and not blinking an eye when switching to my 9mm and above.
In summary, this gun is an amazing value in this time of uncertaint of gun laws. The ability to have 12 different variations with a little extra money makes it so you have the ability to prepare for any situation whether it is home defense or CCW.
