It's just a fraction of the size of Sig's full-size pistols. A smart looking, small handgun built with the same accuracy and reliability as large frame Sig Sauer pistols. With an overall length of just 5.5 inches a height of 3.96 inches, and weighing just 15.2 ounces, the Sig Sauer P238 is the ultimate firepower in an all metal frame concealed pistol. The P238 SAS is built on an anodized alloy beavertail style frame with custom wood grips for comfort and a secure hold during rapid-fire usage. The stainless steel slide features the popular trademarked Sig Sauer slide serrations, corrosion resistant Nitron finish and SIGLITE Night Sights. Cons

  • Mgazine Spring

Best Uses

  • Concealed carry

Comments about Sig Sauer P238 SAS Handgun:

Nice gun. The rounded corners and edges make it perfect for concealed carry. Shoots great and fits really well in the hand. High quality materials and construction. This gun, and the .380 version, are priced at the higher end of the spectrum than their competitor's but the price is reflected in the fit and finish. However, the magazine spring is very strong and, when a round is chambered, it will slide the next round ahead far enough to cause it to fall free when the magazine is released. This seems to happen more with nickel cased ammo than brass. Also, storing the clips fully loaded helps break in the spring. The holster that comes with the gun disappointed me at first, until I figured out the proper way to draw (it's not specified in the manual). The gun must be drawn while the handle is being twisted slightly towards your body. It is nearly impossible to unholster the weapon any other way. This is a built in safety that prevents someone else from drawing your weapon and I thinks its a great feature.
