I have several friends that are in law enforcement and it was recommended by them. I have not been disappointed in any respect with this weapon. It is very well constructed. It is very durable. It is simple to use and maintain. Accurate right out of the box. I am 5' 7'' , medium build, 165 pounds and this is easily concealed on my body. It fits my hands very well. I also have a P226 and it is just as good.

This is my second Sig, the other is a 228(9mm) and the 229 is my favorite Automatic. I love it even more than my 1911's. That says a lot. I just wish it was the size of a 226. 40 cal 226's were not available when I was in the market so I got the 229. I have been in love ever since. Heck, just carry an extra mag... that makes up the difference. :)
