Comments about Sig Sauer® Mosquito® Handgun:
This gun is so much fun to play/plink around at a target. Accuracy is middle level, and the grip and weight feels perfect in my hand. Only con is that the gun is VERY particular about it's ammo. The only ammo it seems to like is CCI, which is overpriced for just plinking with, I think. I use the cheap ammo to plink with, and just deal with the jams and failures to eject &/or load. When I want to do some serious shooting & when just sitting in my safe for home protection, it's loaded with CCI's - which have fired 1st time, every time, no jams since I've purchased the gun.

Comments about Sig Sauer® Mosquito® Handgun:
I bought this as my first firearm purchase and I'm very disappointed with this weapon. Every time I fire my Mosquito I clean and oil it properly and it still jams after almost every other shot. Sometimes it doesn't eject the expended cartridge. Sometimes it ejects and doesn't pick up the next round. Sometimes it ejects the cartridge and catches the cartridge in the ejection port between the slide and the barrel. I've been shooting firearms since i was 7 years old and never had this stuff happen before. Oh and by the way it doesnt have a manufacturers warranty so if you buy this weapon buy the warranty from Gander Mountain. Good luck owners. You'll need it...

Comments about Sig Sauer® Mosquito® Handgun:
I purchased this pistol because it is the perfect twin to my Sig P229. It is the same size and has the same controls: de-cocker,DA/SA trigger. This gives me the ability to practice shoot hundreds even thousands of rounds at a much cheaper ammo cost. It has greatly helped me improve my skills with my larger caliber Sig. Plus it's just plain fun to shoot.

Comments about Sig Sauer® Mosquito® Handgun:
great buy for quality handgun.it is a 22 and some people say it isnt good for self defence.i disagree,i was shot with a 22 40 years ago by accident and it does hurt.gun is very accurate although not as accurate as my browning buckmark and it shouldnt be.but it is supprisingly accurate.gun will jam with cheap ammo even if you change out the supplied spring.highly recommend using good ammo.

Comments about Sig Sauer® Mosquito® Handgun:
This gun is a typical high quality product you expect from Sig-Sauer. I own eight different .22 handguns ranging from SA revolvers to semiautomatics like this one. I have to say that my Mosquito outperforms all of them in most categories except for accuracy. I have a Ruger Mark III Hunter with a bull barrel and red dot scope that is more accurate.
Using quality ammo (CCI Mini Mag is recommended by Sig) this gun functions flawlessly. Mine came with one spring for this type ammo and another for lighter recoiling ammo.
It is a great weight and feel. If you know Sig controls already, you will feel right at home. Considering size and weight it is a great all around .22, for practice, training, carrying, camping, backpacking, fishing, or just plinking. Sig makes factory accessories including a compensator and a threaded barrel for a sound suppressor or consider getting the model that has what you want. It is a bargain for the money.
