Right out of the box the gun shoots great. Dead on with the open sights at 50 yds. I was shooting a 2 inch pattern at 75 yds, and 3 inch at 100 with no optics .I am a rookie with the AR style rifles , but found this gun very easy to use, and very comfortable to shoot.

put about 150 rounds through it so far between two sessions. Failed to feed 5 different times going from bolt to the rear loaded magazine inserted to bolt forward round in chamber. Was depressing the bolt catch to send the bolt home.
I think it just needs to be broken in more, but I've never, NEVER had a failure to feed with my M16A4 service rifle. First, personal M4gery. Brand new. will be putting more rounds down range in future sessions.

on a different note, i put a carry handle on and was able to use the RIBZO and I was getting good results from 100, 50 and 25. everything is good except the failures to feed.

magazines I was using was the magpul that came with it brand new and an old magpul I've used and put my life on it.

Comments about Sig Sauer M400 Enhanced Centerfire Rifle:

Bought a Sig M400 Enhanced and a Le 6920 In the same week. Both are excellent guns that shoot very well with no failures. There both excellent quality but I love this Sig Its MONEY!! sold the Colt to my brother. Used a M 16 A2 in the Marine Corp. and make no mistake Colt is Quality!! But this Sig Runs right there with it.

Sig has proven once again that they understand the AR and semi-CF market as well as anyone. I spent time in the Nam jungle with an M-16 and have shot every platform since. This is a sublime piece. Highly recommend to you.

Comments about Sig Sauer M400 Enhanced Centerfire Rifle:

After laboring between Stag 3 & Sig M400Enhanced I opted for the Sig. Both had top shelf quality in a midlevel entry black gun . But my trusty 99' Bushy DI has been so faithful with no gas piston. No debate here just KISS really! As I shoot left handed the ambidex mag release & safety was a huge plus, as well as the ambidextrous-single point quick detach sling attachment in lower rear receiver. No One knew what it was at Gander so I had to google it...very cool idea indeed! Mil-spec chrome barrel but not BCG as far as I can tell, like the Bushy which has had 1000's of rnds no failures! The lightweight, & workmanship is outstanding fit & finish. The magpul was not a priority but in OD green very nice indeed. The trend toward slightly smaller forend is very welcome. Ok, it looks awesome no question & unique. A-frame front "F" sight post, with flip up rear, just right for my Eotech. BTW best purchase in yrs was the Eotech for one quality holo-red dot sight. So far it shoots great, is accurate with 1/7 twist & shoots 55 to 62+ grain equally well despite millions of varying "opinions". The Bushy is 1/9 same deal no difference. It likes every type of quality ammo I shove down it's throat w M4 feedramps. Staked castle nut & gas key so I highly recommend it IF you can find one now. Got it for [$], & extremely well pleased I chose the M400 Enhanced!

                Two questions actually.
1: Is the M400 compatible with other AR/M4 type magazines or just the one shown with it? (And yes I realize this may be a stupid question)
2: Is the foregrip removable if I want to replace it with a rail system say for a tac light or vertical grip?
Asked on 6/2/2012 by Tarheel Vet. from North Carolina

                • A:

                  1) Yes, the M400 accepts standard AR15/M16 magazines.

                  2) Yes, foregrip is removable/replacable.
