Looked long and hard for this Sig Sauer 1911-22, then finally ordered it sight unseen. I was not disappointed when it came in. Broke it in with 200 rds of CCI Mini-Mag round nose at the range. Had 3-4 misfeeds during the first 30-40 rds, but none after that. Figured that was due to the break-in period.
I'm very happy with the way it handles and shoots. Shot it side by side with a Ruger SR1911. While it couldn't match the 45 cal boom, it was almost as fun to shoot. It's a couple of ounces lighter, but sights, shoots, and generally handles very well. Bought extra magazines for the GSG 1911-22... same gun, but magazines were $30 rather than $50 for the Sig.
All in all, this should prove to be a lot of fun to shoot thousands of rounds through.

This is a great .22 trainer for a 1911. My one and only complaint is the cheap plastic sights. I had to loosen the rear sight to drift it for windage. Re-Tightening the sight leaves you with a sight that is not seated in the dovetail and actually cant to one side. They need to start making these with alloy sights.

Comments about Sig Sauer 1911-22 Handgun:
I picked one up a couple days ago, finally got it to the range this morning. I have MS and I don't have the hand and arm strength I used to have, so I am pretty much limited to .22s. Firing 30 rounds of Federal Target Grade Performance, 40grain solids, 1200 fps, I had no hiccups at all. Using CCI Mini Mags, 60 rounds 40 grain 1235 fps, I had one FTF with a dud primer, the shell fired after I rechambered it. I was only shooting steel plates at 20 yards, but every shot made the steel ring.
This pistol shot like a dream.

Comments about Sig Sauer 1911-22 Handgun:
This is the absolute worst pistol I have ever purchased. I bought this for my son to use and it has been unusable. Every other round misfires or stovepipes. I have tried Remington, Federal, and CCI, all with the same results. I have 3 other Sig Sauer's but this one is obviously not of the same quality. Don't waste your money.

Comments about Sig Sauer 1911-22 Handgun:
shoot great out of the box. didn't like Winchesters, but I think it was a bad box or ammo. I shot cci and federal with no issues. I can't complain about the sites like some people, it was accurate, so I have no need to adjust them.
very solid feeling guns, smooth action and good craftsmanship

Comments about Sig Sauer 1911-22 Handgun:
I just picked up my Sig 1911-22 last Friday and just got out to try it out. All I can say is WOW. This is a beautiful gun. In a box of 50 Blazers I had 2 FTF (failure to feed), but that's not unusual for Blazers. The action is smooth as is the trigger. I'm not sure of the weight of pull on the trigger, but it's equal to or better than my Ruger 1911 45 ACP which is around 3# but the Sig is much smother. My only complaint would be the sights. I really don't like them and intend to install some adjustable ones. My 1911-22 shoots about 8" low at 25 yards. Otherwise I love this gun. You won't be disappointed.

Comments about Sig Sauer 1911-22 Handgun:
Gave it a quick inspection and light cleaning/oiling and went to the range. Sent 100 trouble free rounds downrange (the CCI mini-mag 1235fps. I'll try some remington golden bullets after I break it in some more.) The second 50 were pretty tight groups once I figured out the best sight position on the target. Seems to be sighted well. Fun and easy to shoot. Will be great for getting people comfortable with shooting. Was a nice break between my .40 and my .38. Very low felt recoil. Just enough to make you re-acquire/confirm your sight picture before the next round. Handles like a larger, higher end weapon in the hands. Less of the cheap edges and machining issues sometimes found in .22 handguns. To be extremely critical, the edges of the magazine were machined a little sharp. The safety was a little crisp and stamped. Maybe just the nature of the beast. I am comparing it to a quality 1911. I wouldn't let that be a deal breaker. No buyer's remorse. I see what people are saying about the plastic front sight being potentially fragile. But I handle my weapons carefully and transport them separately in individual cases, so I am not sure what I could injure the front sight on. The finish seems safe in my hands too. I won't be throwing it in my toolbox in my truck. If you are looking for that one all-around .22 pistol, with a full size feel... This gun is your huckleberry. I could have shot it a lot more but I had spent a lot of time with my larger weapons in the same session. It was non-fatigue inducing. I clicked home protection because for some people, the ability to actually hit something with a 22 is better than being all over the place with a 45. I could see this as a home protection weapon for people who are recoil averse or have a trigger flinch. It's like pushing a button. Pop.Pop.Pop.Pop.
