Product Description
Shooters Arms Manufacturing produces well-built and accurate semi-automatic pistols based upon the classic single-action, single-stack magazine, recoil-operated, .45 ACP 1911 design. The Shooters Arms Military is a well-made version of the classic 1911 officer's pistol at an excellent price. The G.I. is a Commander-sized 1911 with a round top slide just like the original. Its 4.25" barrel is covered by a matte black slide with rear military serrations. All external parts are given the same, glare-preventing matte black finish. Each G.I. comes with one 7-round magazine and a plastic carrying case. A one year manufacturer's warranty included as well.

Comments about Shooters Arms Manufacturing M1911 G.I. Handgun:

I bought this 1911 as my first pistol solely because of the price, I have had it for about 2 months now and shot about 800 rounds through it at my local range, mine came with an 8 round magazine which I quickly replaced with one of better quality, heres what I have encountered,it will not feed 230gr jhp no matter the brand, I have had good luck with 185gr jhp, firing all 8 in a row without any jamming, but they are more exspensive and harder to find, when shooting 230gr fmj ball ammo it does well for the first 40 rounds give or take but gets dirty fast and starts feed jamming very regularly,i regularly field strip and clean it while im shooting around every 50 rounds, I have ordered a supply of 200gr wad cutters to see if they do any better, the guns construction quality seems to be good after 800 rounds there is minimal wear and tear and the slide and parts are all in good condition and is still as tight as day one, I do plan to change the grips for a wrap around with finger grooves, and will be sending it in to my local gunsmith for a good polishing to try and get it to stop the feed jamming issue, my opinion is stay away from Winchester white box ammo 8 out of 8 feed jams, I have a lot less problems with Remington ammo, once I receive the wad cutters I will post another review, all in all its not a bad gun, I am buying the 5 inch barrel military model next, I expect the same issues and am ready to accept that it will go to the gunsmith also
