      I really like this combo but the shipping was horrible and the reel hardly had any oil or grease on it.The reel came in a card board box and had no plastic or anything over it to protect it. I took the reel out and it was covered in dirt. I was able to clean it up and after i put some oil and grease on it worked like a charm. I would recommend buying this product but i think gander should put plastic or something around the reel to help keep the dirt off of it while shipping

        My son is an avid fisherman and wanted a rod/reel go to the lakes and offshore fishing. He specifically asked for this one and he was so excited to receive it for his birthday. The product did not disappointment him! He loves it and says that it is easy to cast, light weight but durable.

          Bought this product on line . When it came in it was not what was advertised . The reel is great , love shimano but the rod claimed to be one piece . It was not , and is way to heavy at the tip .
