Comments about Shakespeare Ugly Stik Lite Graphite Freshwater Spinning Rods:
I got this to replace my 20+ year old Ugly Stick,
that finally gave out when my nephew slammed the trunk on it. It is a Christmas present to myself so I can't wait for spring!

Comments about Shakespeare Ugly Stik Lite Graphite Freshwater Spinning Rods:
Just recently paired this Rod up up with my NEW Pflueger President reel, and took them both steelhead fishing. Well, I wasnt dissapointed. Rod performed flawlessly and landed 2 steelies. 1 12 and 1 8lb. fish. Was casting spinners, and the Ugly Stik worked great and felt good. Fish like this will give equipment a workout for sure and I wasn't dissapointed. Havnt owned an Ugly Stik in 25 yrs, and I was pleasantly supprised and wont hesitate to get another one.

Comments about Shakespeare Ugly Stik Lite Graphite Freshwater Spinning Rods:
I bought mine at a local store here in New Jersey a few months ago and love the rod. Mine cost [$] and change but I saved on shipping cost. Mine does have cork handles and not the foam as shown in the pic. Every rod I have (17) all have cork so I'm just use to the feel. The only thing I didn't care for was the hook keeper is on the side and not the bottom like all my other rods. For the price Gander is asking you can't go wrong. The way it performs I feel the cost should be a lot higher. Good deal. It truly is a quality rod. Order one NOW.
