Comments about Shakespeare® Ugly Stik Lite® Graphite Freshwater Spinning Rods:

my first impression of this rod was how good looking it is,the finish is flawless and the guides are finished in a clear epoxy that looks very strong that probably will last forever. I handed this to a bunch of kids on a little pond and they couldn't make a dent in it.they did land a 5# bass though.

Comments about Shakespeare® Ugly Stik Lite® Graphite Freshwater Spinning Rods:

This is a rod that can easily compete with several of my other $150.00+ rods, and hold its own. Back when I was a beginner, I had an ugly stick bait casting rod, and it was my mistake to go on to much more expensive rods.Hope you enjoy this rod as much as I do.

Comments about Shakespeare® Ugly Stik Lite® Graphite Freshwater Spinning Rods:

I have really enjoyed using this rod for artificial bait casting and jigging. It has the backbone for the explosive hits of northern pike and smallmouth bass combined with the sensativity needed to detect the smallest tick on the end of the rod from a light bitting crappie. This rod is truly a multi-tasking multi-species gem.
