Comments about Shakespeare Travel Mate 6'6" Telescopic Medium Rod Kit:
First time out, the top segment would not collapse. Ended up breaking the second eyelet trying to get it packed away. Everything about this rod/real combo leads me to believe that it is a sturdy/quality product, so I am going to try to get it replaced as opposed to a refund....

I do mostly pack in fishing this rod is very compact works well for 1-5lb walleye It also landed a 48" 27.5lb pike. I would recommend upgrading Line can't beat the quality for price.

Comments about Shakespeare Travel Mate 6'6" Telescopic Medium Rod Kit:
I love this rod. I live in Chicago and ride my bike to go fishing. This rod is perfect for throwing in my backpack or on my rack and heading out to wherever destination I pick. I've had a bit of trouble with the line tangling, but I may just need to figure out a trick for it.

Comments about Shakespeare Travel Mate 6'6" Telescopic Medium Rod Kit:
I carry the unit in my work vehicle so that I can stop and fish when I need a break during the work day. I have several lures that I use stored in the kit and that makes it easier to use
