A:This item does come with it's own snaps that do have to be installed. So some drilling is required.Answered on 9/2/2009 by Chad @ Overton's from Greenville, NC
Q:I own a 21' and a 17' skiff. Both have standard bimini tops. I live in Florida and this seems like a great idea for those unexpected thunder storms. Once the hardware is installed how easy is it to pop on the shield? I wouldn't want it attached all the time. Can you purchase additional hardware to move it from boat to boat? I don't really understand how the bottom attaches to the boat. Lot's of questions but I've been thinking about how to attach a clear shower curtain for emegencies. The rain hurts when you are full throttle trying to get out of the lightning.Asked on 8/20/2009 by Susan from Homosassa, FL
A:The shield attaches around the bimini top's tubing with nylon straps at the top of the shield and at the bottom for maximum adjustably for many different boats. You simply put the long end of the strap up through the first side of the buckle and down through the second side of the buckle and pull the strap tight. You need something that you can wrap the straps around at the bottom of the shield. Very easy to get on and off, and the straps are attached to the shield so there is not other hardware needed to take the shield to a different bimini top.Answered on 9/14/2009 by JUSTIN from OVERTONS TECHNICIAN
