After ordering/returning a previous bimini top from a well-known outdoor store and finding that bimini top WAY larger than promised, we ordered this one with Overton's and found it to be exactly what we wanted! Now we can really spend more time enjoying the lake (and spend more time fishing!) by being shaded from the sun, which our lab also appreciates! We were at first concerned the nylon fasteners would be a problem but they are truly sturdy and held up excellently during some rough times on 7 mile long Big Manistique Lake in Michigan's Upper Peninsula during our recent vacation. We also were concerned about the top getting in the way of fishing, but we just adjusted our casting a bit and the fish never knew the difference. The 46" height was just fine for moving around, which we also were concerned about, as we realized that one sits in a boat FAR more than standing. We also had concerns about the top getting in the way when it is folded back when having to access the motor to lift it, and do various things with the gas/battery area but we made sure when installing it that it would lay across the area just in front of it, even behind a fishing chair, and it was no problem at all. Installation went smoothly, which for us, is saying something, as we usually seem to mess things up somehow!
