This antenna seems to have a defective cable or possibly a connector that would not work with the Dual MXDM70 stereo that i ordered at the same time. I ended up using the cable from the old antenna and the new lovely white mast. I had returned it once due to it's ineffectiveness and decided to keep the parts that worked mostly for appearance sake and because I did not want to bother with returning it again.

We have ordered many things, we had a fire a couple of years ago and lost all things in our shop. This included many boat parts. We have ordered replacement parts we lost and have never had a problem. The service is fast. I will continue to ordering, no problems what so ever. Great selections.....prices are great....

Q:
Can you mount this antenna outside of the boat on the side? If so, will the antenna swivel so it faces up and not to the side?Asked on 8/26/2012 by Broke again from Raystown Lake0 answers
Q:
Will this work on a clarion am/fm dvd marine radio on my Searay Sundancer ? How about installation, as the routing from the radar arch would be a job, and maybe not enought cable.
Thanks in advance

A:
From what I have been told, it is compatable with most systems. However. it is anly 16 inches, so the further out you go, the less it will receive. For not to far out, at the price, it is awesome.Answered on 11/9/2011 by Adam from Coral Springs, Florida
Q:
Can this antenna work on a sony fm/am radioAsked on 5/4/2011 by Jimmie1 answer
A:
All Am/Fm antennas come with a Motorola (Universal) male plug, which works on any aftermarket radio. Some factory European radios use a mini plug--for those, you need an adapter. Look for "Antenna Adapter
Euro female to Motorola male."Answered on 7/25/2011 by cfbruno from Lodi, CA
Q:
I would like to know what I need to use to mount this antenna onto my boat?Asked on 2/20/2011 by kris1 answer
A:
This antenna mounts to a flat surface, and requires that you drill a small hole to install the antenna.Answered on 2/22/2011 by Justin from Overton's

Q:
will this fit a 1990 four winns am/fm cassAsked on 7/9/2010 by dan from chicago ill1 answer
VERIFIED BUYER
A:
Chewck to see how long of a cable you will need from place you will put the antenna to your AM/FM CASS. The connector is a standard antenna connection, and should fit any radio which allows for an external antenna.
The cable is only 54" long, and I needed a longer cable. I just used my old cable and made it fit intot he new antenna - you should be able to get whatever you need with regards to extending the cable at your local Radio Shack.Answered on 6/9/2011 by Charles Patridge from Burlington, CT
Q:
is this only for am/fm, or can I use it for VHF???Asked on 5/4/2010 by RYAN from IL2 answers
A:
No, it will not work for VHF. An antenna is NOT an antenna--each antenna is precisely tuned for the frequency of the radio. You need an antenna designed for VHF, usually either 4' or 8' fiberglass on a powerboat, although short, stainless steel sailboat-type antennas are available. VHF antennas also require a PL-259 plug connector, which is supplied with real VHF antennas, though not necessarily attached.Answered on 7/25/2011 by cfbruno from Lodi, CAVERIFIED BUYER
A:
I am unsure as to the the specifics of the uses, but an antenna is an antenna, if the plug fits your radio it will work; however, VHF is line of sight and this antenna is way too small to be of any use for broadcasting long distances.Answered on 6/22/2010 by Lance from Canton GA
