Comments about Unified Sea Sense Battery Box Power Station:
The lifting handle separated from the case when battery weight was added. Nothing was damaged and I can put the handle back into place. Possibly a little redesign should be concidered as someone could be injured by the extreme weight of the battery falling on a foot or something else.

Comments about Unified Sea Sense Battery Box Power Station:
i use this on my 17' drift boat for powering the trolling motor. great product, easy set up. sturdy handle, easy access external terminal leads. it even has a battery meter though i wouldn't count on it's accuracy.
make sure to really crank the strap down to keep the lid stable for carrying. a well thought out product that while it isn't waterproof (nor does it need to be as batteries need to be ventilated) it will certainly keep the battery acid contained...off me and the boat!
Service and delivery comments:
delivered as promised, on time.
overton should include the inside dimensions of the box on the product description.

A:
The battery has a 12 volt socket also. The item pictured in front is the 12 volt plug that you could use on a spot light or other 12 volt items.Answered on 6/2/2009 by Casey Marine Buyer from Overtons

A:
the box and lid are plastic but water can get up and under the lid. besides you don't want your battery box to be waterproof as that would eliminate ventilation as the battery is off gassing.
basically you are more concerned with keeping the battery acid contained and less concerned about getting the battery wet.
regarding shorting out the unit the battery is powering due to the battery getting wet, make sure you install a proper in-line circuit breaker. consult the manufacturer of whatever it is your powering, i.e. trolling motor, fish finder etc.Answered on 4/14/2010 by fishdreamer from berkeley, ca
