Product Description
savage_arms The B.Mag isn't simply a re-chambered version of an existing platform; Savage designed this rimfire rifle specifically to handle the high velocities of the 17 Winchester Super Magnum with design features typically reserved for their centerfire rifles. In order to maximize accuracy in this long-range shooter, the B.Mag utilizes Savage's thread-in barrel headspacing system, rear-locking lugs and a cock-on-close bolt capped off with the light, crisp AccuTrigger. It has a flush-fit center-feed rotary magazine. B.Mag also has a soft rubber buttpad and hidden action-screws in a lightweight, black synthetic one-piece stock.

Comments about Savage Arms Savage B.Mag Rimfire Rifle:

Recommend that you read manual before taking apart. The bolt doesn't remove by pulling trigger and the action uses Allen wrench for removal. Be very careful with barrel if you are target practicing cause it gets really hot, really fast! This should be a great varmint round/gun and I predict that with more ammo makers, this will make the other .17 rimfires go by the way of the dodo bird. I just shot it right out of the box, didn't have to make any adjustments to the trigger. speaking of the trigger, if you don't pull the trigger directly back, it will not fire and you have to recock the bolt. took me a few do-overs before I figured out why it wasn't firing (again, read the manual) My buddy in Montana loves it and am recommending the gun & cartridge to everyone. I didn't rate how durable cause I just don't know yet. I'm really glad I purchased this rifle, would do it all over again.

Comments about Savage Arms Savage B.Mag Rimfire Rifle:

Rifle shoots great. Ammo is a bit hard to come by but is priced attractively. Third Savage rimfire and all are very accurate - priced very fairly. I use it primarily to target shoot out at 125 yards. I really like the light weight and portability of this rifle. Cartridge is a little powerhouse. I look forward to a wood stocked version of this gem.

Savage did a really good job building this rifle! I have only shot 50 rounds, but it shoots SUB-MOA!!!! I cant wait for a heavy barrel version with a wood stock!

Ammo is available, you just have to take the time to find it. Gander IS NOT to blame. look at your neighbor if you wonder why there is an ammo shortage, or look in your own safe!!!

Comments about Savage Arms Savage B.Mag Rimfire Rifle:

Consistent difficulty cycling the bolt, could also benefit from a longer bolt handle with a better angle-had to go with oversized ring spacers to keep bolt from hitting scope. The rotary magazine has cheap feel and difficult to load. Accuracy is good, will be great for sniping crows & coyotes, but overall Dissapointed.
